The roster of standard factory equipment is a wishlist for off-road adventurers. Multimatic DSSV dampers handle suspension duties in all four corners. Meanwhile, the truck has a 2-inch factory lift, front and rear locking differentials, and specialized skid plates for protection. AEV's hot-stamped steel bumpers provide recovery points and winch capability, while the redesigned approach and departure angles ensure few obstructions during off-pavement excursions.
While the mighty 6.2-liter V8 is an option with the Sierra 2500 HD AT4X AEV, Rodriguez’s GMC has the standard 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel, which produces 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. A ten-speed automatic and two-speed transfer case are also part of the package. The truck has a gross vehicle weight rating of 7,100 pounds.
With a nod to the Sierra 2500 HD AT4X AEV’s already robust feature set, 717 Supply’s modifications were minimal. These upgrades mainly consisted of adding a deep tint to the windows and swapping the factory wheels and tires with Method off-road rims wrapped in 37-inch rubber. 717 Supply made a point of preserving the AT4X's capability by ensuring the Method wheels had the proper offset for the larger tires.
