Giveaway #13 Winner Profile:

Chris Neufeld and the 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali Ultimate

For Chris Neufeld of Colorado, a $38 t-shirt was the perfect reason to take a long-overdue trip with his wife, Ashley. When 717 Supply Founder Mike Hyssong called to let him know he’d won a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali Ultimate—plus a $60,000 bonus—the timing couldn’t have been better. It had been more than two years since the couple had taken a trip alone.

Their visit to Pennsylvania ended up feeling like a second honeymoon. “We were married two years ago, and that was the last time we took a vacation for ourselves without the kids or anything,” Ashley said during their airport pickup. The chance to pick up their prize helped them to finally carve out time as a couple, though her parental instincts kicked in right away. “I’ve already called my mom asking, ‘Where’s the two-year-old. Is he okay?’” she remarked.

Chris Neufeld had made just one 717 Supply purchase, a single shirt he proudly wore to the prize reveal. When asked about it later, he said, “The t-shirt cost me $38 and I got a $160,000 prize.” The math was easy to grasp, even if the reality took a little longer to sink in.

Like many others, Neufeld had his initial doubts. “I think everybody thinks it’s a scam at some point,” he admitted, similar to what previous winners have said. Before his win, Neufeld had been driving a 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab with a Cummins diesel, a truck built for work, not luxury. The moment of truth came when the massive pickup was unveiled. “There she is, buddy,” Hyssong said as the covers came off.

His family reacted just as you’d expect, with Ashley’s brother in Virginia jokingly volunteering to collect the truck himself. Still, choosing to make the trip themselves proved worthwhile. Even their ride from the airport became part of the story as Hyssong personally drove them, kicking off the adventure with a personal touch.

At the reveal, some features stood out, with Neufeld remarking, “She looks mean.” The truck’s massaging seats and other premium features were also appreciated.

They already had plans for both the truck and the cash. “Just use it for my day-to-day life, it’ll be my daily driver,” Neufeld said of the GMC. As for the money? “A nice vacation with my wife, maybe take a trip to Hawaii or something,” he said—another step in reclaiming couple’s time.

To anyone still unsure about giveaways like this, Chris had a clear message: “It’s real, it’s not a scam, it’s definitely 100% real.” He also praised the merch itself: “I think your products are awesome, this t-shirt is going to be my favorite for sure.” Even without the win, he felt he got something worthwhile.

About the 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali Ultimate

Chris Neufeld's 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali Ultimate is the flagship among GMC's heavy-duty truck lineup. It’s also the first year for the over-the-top Denali Ultimate trim, highlighting the pickup’s luxury amenities, technology, and serious capability.

Under the hood, the enhanced 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V8 produces 470 horsepower and an impressive 975 lb-ft of torque. Paired with the Allison ten-speed automatic transmission, this powertrain enables the Sierra 2500 HD to tow up to 22,500 pounds. That’s thanks to 25% more low-end torque than the previous generation.

717 Supply gave Neufeld’s Sierra a custom treatment with upgrades built on the truck’s already bold presence. A 4-inch Cognito lift kit adds extra ground clearance but keeps it usable for daily driving. The new suspension setup makes room for 24-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch tires. Mike Hyssong mentioned that he hand-trimmed the fenders to maintain full steering range.

Outside, the chrome elements didn’t stay chrome for long. The hood vent, grille inserts, mirror caps, window trim, door handles, and side step accents were all color-matched to blend with the truck’s body. To finish things off, a brushed black wrap adds depth and contrast, giving the Sierra a polished but rugged feel.

Inside, the Denali Ultimate features full-grain leather upholstery and open-pore wood trim. Topographic interior patterns underscore the truck’s connection to Alaska’s Mount Denali. The centerpiece includes 16-way power-adjustable massaging front seats, a 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 15-inch head-up display, and a Bose audio system. The automatic bed cover is another standout feature.
