Giveaway #16 Winner Profile:

Jimmy Davis and the 2005 Chevrolet C6 Corvette

Jimmy Davis from Turlock, California, never expected that picking up a “Mandate Freedom” t-shirt would lead to winning a near-mint 2005 C6 Corvette. But that’s exactly what happened during 717 Supply’s shortest giveaway to date—just five days long. A simple purchase, good timing, and a little luck changed everything.

He first came across 717 Supply through YouTube, following a string of recommendations that eventually brought him to Mike Hyssong’s Street Speed 717 channel. “I remembered seeing a video with a link from another person. I clicked on the link and watched it and subscribed right away,” he said. From that moment on, Davis became a selective but consistent supporter. “Only the ones I'm really interested in,” he said of the giveaways he entered.

The timing of his win was perfect and ironic. “Me and two friends were talking about the giveaway. My friend was skeptical and said it's not real, it's a scam. I was talking to them when I got the phone call,” Davis explained. The Pennsylvania area code gave him a clue, and soon he was hearing Mike’s voice on the other end. “I saw the number pop up, and I'm like I don't know anybody in PA but then I saw the area code. I answered it and I heard Mike's voice, I was nervous.”

That moment hit hard. “I didn't know what to say. I was like ‘this can't be happening, this can't be real’ I was really excited. I never thought I would ever win."

Davis had been entering giveaways with 717 Supply for a few years and never with any other company, he reports. Referring to Hyssong, “He's been the only one I've ever bought from,” Davis added. For him, it wasn’t just about winning; he genuinely liked the products and the content.

When it came time to see the car in person, the experience was surreal. “I couldn't really believe it was mine even though it was right in front of me. It's a beautiful car. I was just taking it all in like ‘this is mine,’” he said. Hyssong called it one of the cleanest C6s he’d seen; even veteran car guys were impressed by how well-kept it was.

His friends and family had their doubts. “They were like ‘No way.’ They didn't believe me at first,” Davis said. But seeing the car changed their minds, especially for the skeptical friend who was mid-rant when the winning call came through.

Back home, the real fun began. “Probably driving with my kids and seeing their smiles. It's the fastest car they've ever been in. Their smiles come out really easily,” he said, reflecting on what the win truly meant.

When asked what he'd tell others considering entering a giveaway, his answer was simple: “I would definitely tell them to do it. You’re getting something for your money—and you could potentially win a car.” As for the doubters? Davis has a message for them, too: “Not all giveaways are fake. It’s okay to be a skeptic—but I’m living proof this is real.”

About the 2005 Chevrolet C6 Corvette

Jimmy Davis’s 2005 C6 Corvette is a textbook example of sixth-gen Corvette appeal: classic front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, timeless styling, and just the right mix of analog charm. This particular car, which Mike Hyssong described as “one of the cleanest C6s out there,” shows the kind of care and attention that’s rare to see in a two-decade-old car.

Under the hood is the original 6.0-liter LS2 V8 paired with a six-speed manual. The setup makes 400 horsepower, and while that number isn’t wild by today’s standards, Hyssong put it perfectly: “doesn't have a ton of horsepower, but it's a six-speed manual rear wheel drive that’s super, super fun to drive.”

717 Supply added a few smart upgrades to bring the car into the modern era without losing its old-school personality. Z06-style wheels wrapped in Bridgestones give it better grip and a more aggressive look. The windows are tinted just enough to keep the cabin cooler and reduce glare.

Lighting is where the updates stand out. Up front, LED headlights with C8-inspired design and animated startup sequences give the car a fresh, modern edge. In the back, the taillights got the same LED treatment. A Corsa exhaust system with black tips finishes things off with a deep, unmistakable growl.

To make it uniquely theirs, 717 Supply added American flag emblems on the front and rear; small touches that reflect the company’s signature style. Inside, the car remains mostly stock, and that’s a good thing. The cabin is in remarkably good shape, with very little wear and tear, especially considering the car’s age.
