Giveaway #17 Winner Profile:

Charles “CJ” O'Neal and the 2024 Ford F-250 Limited

Charles “CJ” O’Neal thought he was getting another spam call when his phone rang one ordinary day. Convinced it was a scammer, he hung up almost immediately—unaware he’d just blown off 717 Supply Founder Mike Hyssong, who’d decided to have a little fun by using a fake Russian accent.

“Who is this, Charles?” Hyssong asked, still in character. O’Neal didn’t hold back: “I don’t give a [deleted] who it is.” When the caller pushed again, O’Neal snapped, “Lose my number or I’ll send the police.” The standoff had Hyssong holding back laughter as O’Neal grew more irritated, thinking it was just another telemarketer.

Everything shifted when Hyssong mentioned an F-250 and $50,000. “No way,” O’Neal said, stunned. “Charles, this is Mike, buddy, it’s not a Russian man named Vlad. I’m here to tell you that you won our F-250 Limited plus 50 grand in cash.” O’Neal froze. “Oh my God,” he said over and over, trying to take it all in.

O’Neal’s connection to 717 Supply dates back a long way. “We’ve been watching you for years,” he shared, referring to Hyssong’s Street Speed 717 YouTube channel. O’Neal added, “My friend and I went down to Cecil County Dragway for the callout days back in 2017 and 2018.” Hyssong remarked that the win by a long-time supporter was even more meaningful.

True to form, O’Neal hadn’t tried any tricks to boost his chances. “I bought this t-shirt that you see right here. Just one single t-shirt turns into that,” he said during the interview, pointing at the giant Ford.

Like many past winners, O’Neal initially thought the giveaway was fake. “I did think it was a scam at first,” he admitted. “As you could tell from the phone call, ‘lose my number,’ I didn’t want any of it at first.” But once Hyssong dropped the act, disbelief turned to excitement.

Visiting Pennsylvania for the big truck reveal hit hard. The F-250 Limited didn’t disappoint. “It’s bigger in person, too, isn’t it?” Hyssong asked. “It’s huge,” O’Neal replied, clearly blown away.

O’Neal’s friends and family reacted the same way he had: pure disbelief. “The first person I told was my friend behind the camera, and we couldn’t speak or breathe,” O’Neal said. “Went home, talked with my mom, and same thing—absolutely speechless.” Even co-workers didn’t believe him at first.

O’Neal was thinking about a new ride when fortune struck, so the timing couldn’t have been better. “I was already in the market for buying a new truck, and this evidently has fallen into my lap,” he said. The $50,000 bonus would “pay for what I have to pay for.” O’Neal adds, “We’ll see what’s left over.”

To those on the fence about entering a 717 Supply giveaway, he had simple advice: “There’s no inkling that you won before you get the phone call from Mike, and it might be Mike or Vlad.” He laughed, nodding to the prank call. “I would say get entered, it’s one of the smartest things you might ever do.” Still in awe of his experience, O’Neal added, “I am sitting here wearing a shirt that turned into that truck.”

About the 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty Limited

O’Neal’s 2024 Ford F-250 Limited is the crown jewel of Ford’s Super Duty lineup, topping even the flashy Platinum trim. Priced around $104,000, it’s loaded with every premium feature Ford offers and powered by the 6.7-liter PowerStroke diesel engine—good for a massive 1,200 lb-ft of torque and built for serious towing and hauling.

717 Supply gave the truck a bold makeover, removing factory chrome for a cleaner look. The grille, bezels, mirror caps, door handles, and window surrounds were refinished in gloss black. Even the Ford badge was custom-painted to match the Glacier Gray body with black lettering. The same treatment extended to the tailgate, creating a sharp, uniform appearance that, as Mike Hyssong put it, “should just look right” without going over the top.

The suspension upgrade features a Carli 5.5-inch lift kit—something Hyssong called a top-shelf setup. The Carli system is specifically designed for the F-250, using custom-fabricated components that maintain ride quality and performance. The lift makes room for 37-inch tires on 22-inch wheels, giving the truck a wide stance that still works for daily driving.

Inside, the Limited trim brings serious luxury, like diamond-stitched leather seats in blue and gray that offer 20 massage functions. A full Alcantara headliner, panoramic sunroof, and carbon fiber accents complete what Hyssong described as “first-class airline seat” comfort. With around $15,000 in upgrades on top of the base price—plus the $50,000—O’Neal’s total prize came in near $170,000, all from a single t-shirt purchase.
