Giveaway #36 Winner Profile:

Marcos Palmer and the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe High Country

Marcos Palmer had heard it before from his wife: stop buying t-shirts from 717 Supply. The active-duty servicemember had been a regular participant in giveaways for trucks and muscle cars while stationed in San Antonio, Texas. However, the California native took a different approach. “I ended up waiting for the right one for a family-oriented giveaway,” Palmer explained. When a text message arrived announcing a sale on entry packs, Palmer saw his opportunity. He purchased a five-pack of entries. “Next thing I know, Bobby’s calling me,” he said, referring to the notification from 717 Supply’s team announcing his win of a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe High Country, $10,000 cash, and a $10,000 vacation.

The timing couldn’t have been better for Palmer’s growing family. “We’re expecting another one,” he noted about his wife’s pregnancy. There are other benefits. “It means peace of mind for my family, and I get out of a car payment, get something super luxurious, and be ready for our next child here in a couple of months,” he added.

Palmer’s good fortune was met by skepticism from family and friends—a typical reaction among 717 Supply winners. “A little skeptical at first,” he remarked, followed by belief after sharing the Instagram post and YouTube video of the winner notification call. “They ended up ecstatic, and they’re all so happy for me.”

The logistics of claiming his prize required coordination with military duties. Palmer initially traveled to the Washington, D.C. area the previous weekend, only about two and a half hours from 717 Supply’s Pennsylvania headquarters. Traffic concerns and his upcoming flight home made the timing problematic. “We figured with traffic getting there, getting back, getting him home in time for his flight, it’s going to be cutting it a little close,” 717 Supply Founder Mike Hyssong explained.

Palmer secured an additional day off and returned the following week for the vehicle reveal. His composure softened upon seeing the High Country Tahoe with Escalade wheels in person. “I’m speechless right now, to be honest.”

The interior features impressed Palmer immediately—the third-row entertainment screens with individual headsets and the motorized folding third-row seats. “This whole thing’s insane,” he said, while exploring the cabin.

Hyssong had searched extensively for the specific Mocha interior and exterior combination. “Once I knew that the Mocha interior existed, I really wanted this combo. It took a while to find one,” Hyssong noted. The effort proved worthwhile when Palmer processed his win. “I don’t even know what to say,” he commented.

Sitting in the driver’s seat made the win tangible. “Even more real, to be honest,” Palmer said about the experience. He and his wife chose Maui, Hawaii, for their vacation, booking first-class flights with the prize money. “It’s getting real for sure,” he said about the upcoming trip.

His long-term plans reflect practical family priorities. “I want to keep it till the wheels fall off. But it’s my wife’s daily driver now. So whenever she’s ready to get something different, that’s up to her.”

About the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe High Country

The High Country trim positions Palmer’s new ride as the top-tier Tahoe. This full-sized SUV received substantial updates for 2025, including a redesigned front fascia, new lighting signatures, and a completely revamped interior centered on a 17.7-inch diagonal touchscreen.

The exterior features a gray metallic finish paired with Cadillac Escalade-V wheels—an appearance Hyssong called “menacing” when combined with blacked-out treatments. The cabin has High Country embroidery on the headrests and perforated seating surfaces. The rear entertainment package includes dual screens with individual wireless headphones, allowing passengers to watch separate content. The second-row captain's chairs fold automatically via button controls.

Power comes from a 6.2-liter V8 producing 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The High Country includes standard Magnetic Ride Control and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, which automatically adjusts ride height for highway efficiency or increased ground clearance. The independent rear suspension also helps with ride quality. When properly equipped, this Tahoe can tow up to 8,100 pounds.

Additional features on this loaded SUV include a hands-free power liftgate that opens automatically when the key fob is detected, animated welcome lighting sequences, a wireless charging pad, and a surround-view monitor.

For Palmer, the 2025 Chevy Tahoe High Country is the ultimate family hauler with three-row seating, luxury amenities, and an advanced entertainment system. The vacation and $10,000 cash prize only sweetened the package.
